Did you know: OEM parts from Germany can be made by Redwood Plastics?

wb-gondola.jpg Replacing OEM Gondola rollers: This photo is of a car on a Gondola at a ski resort in Canada. If you look at the top deck you will see a white peg that mechanically opens the doors by means of a track system when the cars come into the load and unload stations. These pegs are a steel shaft with a UHMW roller over it and held on by a nut and washer at the top. The problem is that the UHMW rollers are wearing out fast due to the harsh conditions and new ones had to be ordered from the OEM in Germany at a high price. This part is considered to be non-essential and therefore can be outsourced. We were recommended black acetal be used for this part as it is UV stable, harder and not affected by temperature. Redwood Plastics delivered the part at a lower cost than the OEM with an upgrade in material. Based on this service, we ordered two other acetal bushings for the cars and asked for quotes on several other parts as well.Thanks Redwood Plastics
